Dr. Julius Liptak Presents at the Veterinary Cancer Society Meeting in Cancun, Mexico

Dr. Julius Liptak, one of our founding partners and specialist surgeons, was recently invited to present one of the keynote lectures at the Veterinary Society of Surgical Oncology (VSSO)-Veterinary Cancer Society combined meeting in Cancun, Mexico. He presented the results of the VSSO study on 1,331 dogs with apocrine gland anal sac adenocarcinoma (AGASACA), for which he is the principal investigator. He then went on to moderate the remainder of the session on AGASACA, which included a lecture on the role of radiation therapy for the management of dogs with AGASACA and abstracts on the results of a modified surgical approach for anal sacculectomies in dogs.

Dr. Liptak, one of five RCVS specialists in surgical oncology in the world and the only RCVS surgical oncology specialist in Canada, is frequently invited to present at national and international meetings, and is a strong believer in clinical research, collaboration with colleagues around the world, and sharing his knowledge through social media, consulting through the Veterinary Information Network (VIN), publications, and lecturing.
